About the Studio
What we do
Amy Krause Design is a renovation-focused interior design studio reimagining how people want to live at home, enhancing both the spaces themselves and the everyday life within them.
The studio partners with homeowners across the Kansas City metro and beyond on kitchen, bath, and whole-home renovations. Based in Overland Park and closely connected to the surrounding neighborhoods, the studio brings clarity to complex layouts, cabinetry decisions, and the details that shape daily life.

At Amy Krause Design, we believe design is at its best when it makes everyday living feel easier, more beautiful, and more connected.
Founded by award-winning Kansas City interior designer Amy Krause, the studio combines a warm, editorial eye with deep technical expertise. As a certified kitchen and bath designer, Amy treats beauty and function as equal partners, using cabinetry, space planning, whole-home furnishings, and detailed renovation planning to support the way each client wants to live at home.
The construction documents we prepare are clear and detailed, which helps projects run smoothly and reduces on-site surprises. We work with trade partners who respect the plan and loop us in on real-world questions, so any adjustments are made thoughtfully and in service of the finished home.

Our Hopes & Dreams Planning Session is a two-hour, in-home consultation designed to explore what’s possible in your space. During this time, we walk through your home together, talk about how you currently live, review the inspiration images that speak to you, and identify opportunities to improve comfort, flow, and the ease of everyday living.
We’ll review your goals, answer questions, and uncover how design can improve the way your home looks, feels, and supports daily life.
For many clients, this session becomes the foundation for a larger design project.
