Designing Homes for Living Well.

Interior designer Amy Krause of Amy Krause Design

Amy Krause

Hi, I’m Amy Krause.

I founded Amy Krause Design in 2013 with the belief that thoughtful design can transform far more than how a home looks. At its best, design changes how people live, gather, recharge, and experience everyday life.

What inspires me most about this work is helping clients discover the full potential of their homes. Whether reimagining a kitchen that naturally brings people together, creating a more functional and restorative primary suite, or bringing cohesion to a home that no longer reflects the way a family lives today, my goal is always the same: to create spaces that feel personal, elevated, and deeply livable.

As a renovation-focused interior designer and certified kitchen and bath designer, I guide clients through both the creative and technical layers of transforming a home, balancing beauty, function, and problem-solving throughout the process.

One of my favorite moments happens long after a project is complete.

It’s when a client shares that they’re living in their home differently than before, gathering more, feeling more at ease, or enjoying spaces they once overlooked.

Those moments are a reminder that thoughtful design is never just about how a home looks. It’s about how it supports the people living in it.

Today, I have the privilege of working with clients who value collaboration, trust, and the opportunity to reimagine what their homes can become.

I look forward to exploring what your home could become too.

Custom kitchen design with white cabinetry, navy island, and quartz countertops and backsplash Overland Park

She delivered the wow-factor.

“Amy Krause did a spectacular job with the interior design of a condo conversion project in the Westside Kansas City area. A former area supermarket was remodeled into 3 individual condominiums and Amy captured the essence of the neighborhood delivering a hip, urban feel blending the best of the original structural features, like 20′ ceilings with modern and open space design.

“Amy laid out the entire kitchen workspace complete with a giant island, ensuring that workspaces met industry standards for comfort and flexibility. Custom cabinetry was specified that delivered maximum functionality of the space available.

“By hiring Amy the entire project came together without incident. Everything went together as envisioned and the finished product delivered the WOW factor we were looking for. If you are considering hiring an interior designer, you can’t go wrong with Amy. She is conscientious, technically adept and has a good vision for what the end product will look like. She is easy to work with and I am quite confident that if you engage Amy, you will not be disappointed.”
